Learning Through Play at Learning Adventures Mangere East
As rugby fans all over the country are glued to their television screens, the children at Learning Adventures Mangere East are celebrating the World Cup in their own special – and very active - way.
This month children have been competing in a range of sporting events, from obstacle courses to ball games.
“We have linked these activities in with the Rugby World Cup and at the end of the month we’ll be having a ceremony to present the medals,” says centre manager Virginia Eruera.
Not only are the sports games providing a lot of fun, but they’re encouraging children to participate, give things a go, contribute and work as part of a team as well as helping develop fine and gross motor skills.
